This year the only relic of the great Rush-bearing procession was a coal waggon, adorned with a few rushes which was dragged about by some boys.

Lymm Morris Dancers
On Saturday morning the two usual troupes of "Morris Dancers" dances gaily through the village and the fair with hobby and sweet stalls and "aunt Sallys was held but otherwise, except as family reunions, the rush-bearing festival has died out in Lymm
